About Jake Adler

Jake Adler lives in Norfolk, England and enjoys long walks, day dreaming, writing and watching the fantastic wildlife that lives upon the Norfolk broads as well as further afield. which he loves. He has been a lifelong fan of epic fantasy since the moment he could first read and write and also enjoys reading about classical mythology. One day he realized that joining the two passions together would make for an exciting adventure and this led to the creation of the Nemedian trilogy. Β It is the trilogy that he always wanted to read somewhere within the depths of the library vaults, and so to ensure that it existed, he set about writing it himself.

    1. Dear Faye,

Thank you very much for your message. I must apologize for taking so long to reply as I have only just seen your message via WordPress.

The second book is progressing well, I am trying to lengthen sections in the second book with ‘character adventure episodes’ as I have had some feedback that although enjoyed, readers would prefer longer adventure sections. What are your thoughts on this? I love feedback.

Regarding the second book, I am not yet sure when it will be ready, but I think that it will take most of this year at least for me to do it justice. Thank you also for your lovely review via Amazon. Faye, I would like to keep in touch and offer you a free copy of my second and third books. Please don’t feel obliged to offer a review on the other two if you don’t want to, I just want to do this as I just make decisions, then go with them. You sound like a nice person. All the proceeds go to the RSPCA (a UK animal welfare charity, I don’t state that on Amazon, but I think you get the measure of me a person and why I write books).

I hope to get the book out ASAP, but it is unlikely to be this year. What matters is that it is a good as it can be, but maybe I can get you an advanced (draft) copy if you would like to give me feedback towards the end of this year? Constructive feedback is always most appreciated.
PS: Your message made my day πŸ™‚ Thank you!

  1. I really enjoyed this book! I can’t wait to get on to the second and third books. If there’s anything I can do to offer encouragement, help, a second set of eyes, or maybe just chocolate, please let me know! πŸ™‚

    1. Thank you so very much! By the way, is your first name Anton or Butch? πŸ™‚ I’ve just seen your lovely review on Amazon, thank you very much, it made me smile. It is very important for me that readers get to enjoy the series, and in many ways that is only possible with constructive feedback. Thank you for your offer regarding feedback. I would love to do that and as with Faye, I would like to offer you book 2 and book 3 free, with an early advanced copy for each novel when it becomes available. Please can you and Faye use my author pen name email address so we can swap emails (so your emails are not listed publicly on wordpress). It’s ok for me to list mine on wordpress as it’s my author email address and just used for that purpose: jakeadler1000000@mail.com

Looking forward to keeping in touch and in hearing your thoughts πŸ™‚

  2. Thanks for stopping by, much appreciated! That is great that your royalties go to charity; if ever I kick myself in the butt enough to finish my novel I will probably follow in your steps>.<

    1. Thanks Laryter, that’d be lovely. What is your novel about?
By the way, I just read and liked your post about being a Geek. Great stuff, as I would classify myself as a Geek too and perfectly proud of it. I love Sci Fi of all types. At the moment, I am just finishing off watching the entire series on Amazon Instant Battlestar Galactica (BSG) the 2004-2009 series. Have you seen it? I think it’s great. By the way, where to you stand on Star Wars Episode 4-6? Some people just like the first three, some all six, some prefer the latter three more than the first three (although that makes no sense to me at all). All the best and I will look forward to reading more on your blog πŸ™‚

      1. Hmm, let’s see if I can summarize it comprehensibly: it first takes place on Earth, but far into the future; the ozone has been completely destroyed and replaced with an artificial version in which a global agency controls the weather; the main character is a researcher for a biotech university in London and she’s been researching the connection of dreams and interstellar travel (a kooky combination, but I think if plotted out properly, it will be good:); i’d say more but don’t want to give too much away lol.

Thanks! I need to get back into BSG; it’s terrifically done, but I need breaks in-between as it’s so dramatic. Definitely grew up episodes 4-6 so I had a bit of a bias going into the first three episodes. I’m more terrified of what Disney will do…just doesn’t seem like the right fit.

I just started your first book, very excited to have some new material to delve into! Peace~

      2. Hi Laryter,

Wow!That sounds like an amazing storyline for a great novel! Very imaginative and once you’ve written it, please let me know, I’d love to read it. Novels like this with great imagination have great potential to really strike a chord with Sci Fi fans and this sounds excellent!

I’m just finishing off series four of BSG, it’s very dark. I’m about half way through series 4 and in total surprise of how ‘finding Earth’ is progressing. I hope it’s a happy ending as I really am a softie at heart and feel a great deal of satisfaction only with happy endings. That’s not to say that dark things are wrong, that’s part of life’s adventures, but I like to finish any series with people feeling ‘content’ (if that makes sense?)

Lovely to hear your thoughts and please keep me posted about your book. You have a great design there for a super adventure and I’d love to read it when it’s ready. PS: I hope you like book one, please let me know how to contact you (email) jakeadler1000000@gmail.com – I would like to get you book two and three for free. You sound like a really nice person. No need for reviews if you don’t want to – lets just share our love of writing and stories with one another. All the very best to you. πŸ™‚
